For as long as I can remember, I’ve loved to draw. Growing up in New Mexico, I was surrounded by the rich landscape and unique culture of the Southwest. I believe the combination of the two helped to develop my deep appreciation of color.

After receiving my formal art training at the Colorado Institute of Art, I returned to Albuquerque and founded my studio “Laughing At The Moon”.

Scuba diving brought my husband Barry and me to Kona. We loved it so much that we made it our home in 1996.

The following year we adopted a spunky 4 month old poi dog from the West Hawaiian Humane Association. The name “Cosmo” seemed to fit, and now we can’t imagine life without her. She has provided us with endless joy, amusement and inspiration. In November of 2002 we adopted another poi dog from the Humane Society. We now have "Double Trouble", Cosmo and Stevie Rae.

Speaking of inspiration- I am surrounded by so much beauty every day I never run out of subject matter.

I work in many different mediums from pencil and ink on watercolor paper to acrylic and gouache on masonite. I believe different concepts lend themselves to different techniques. My hand painted giclee prints are an example of this. These three dimensional creations use a variety of mediums and techniques to achieve their distinctive look.

I am always experimenting and working.

Oli’Oli !! (enjoy)
